  • Spreading The Christmas Spirit At Bryant Park

It’s finally here, that freezing cold time of year. You bring out the tinsels and baubles and lights, and you pretend the end of your wallet isn’t here. The living room smells like pine (if you have a real tree). You anticipate the gifts you’ll get and try to ignore the amount of money spent on the ones you’ll have to give. It’s a joyous (mostly) time of year, one you get to spend with family and friends (maybe). All of you gather at someone’s house and sit around the tree. Oh, Christmas, that freezing cold time of year. You warm our hearts, by gathering us near.

There are a whole lot of things we can do together with people during this special time of year. And sometimes, it starts really early. Sometimes, the season starts in November, a whole month before December. It’s like Thanksgiving got skipped over, but honestly, the spirit of Christmas and Thanksgiving are really similar. Both holidays involve spending time with the people you love and trying to stay warm. So we’ll talk about spending time together at Bryant Park, just as I do with my friends.

Spending Time Together at Bryant Park

Bryant Park, located between 40th and 42nd streets and Fifth and Sixth Avenues New York, NY 10018

is a public park. During the holidays though, it becomes a magical little village filled with lights, people, and vendors. There is food to be had and oddities to behold. The weather outside is cold, but after a while of walking, you’ll warm up. Bring those you love with you, and your heart will be full. There is an ice skating rink for everyone to slip and slide and land on their backsides. There’s seating for when everyone gets tired and tables to hold the food. Have fun together, and make those memories count. At the end of the day, you’ll be tired, but you’ll be warm and your heart will be content. Send the year away with the people you love.
