  • Flippers: The Most Superior Brunch Spot

This one is for all of my early birds. Out in Soho, on Broadway there’s a store on the corner that you might miss if you’re not paying attention (or the line isn’t out the door). Flippers is a brunch spot that serves up delicious soufflé pancakes. This particular eatery is far from a walk in and is highly recommended to get a reservation first. If this warning isn’t heeded you can try your luck with the waitlist. From my experience it’s a gamble. The first day I went and found it by chance, the I never got a text saying there was a spot open. The second I lucked out and got a full party of four in.

A brunch spread from Flippers in Soho. Caramel banana chocolate pancakes, strawberry pancakes, fresh fruit pancakes. Hashbrowns, bacon, and mimosas.

Once you enter the restaurant is kinda small but that just makes it cozy. Depending on the size of your party seating can get a bit tight. While Flippers does sell other food, the main star is their pancakes. The pancakes themselves are very cute and yes they jiggle when you shake them. I ordered one mimosa. Let me tell you something, they are very generous with the champagne so if you’re going to brunch to drink, this is the place to be.

You can find Flippers located in Soho, Manhattan. I recommend getting a reservation if you plan to make a day out of it.

  • Only The Best Of Venezuelan Cuisine in NYC

Hey friends! Cachapas Y Mas is a Venezuelan restaurant located in Dyckman st., Uptown Manhattan. Here you will find a variety of your typical Venezuelan food. Where everything is literally to die for. In other words, you guys definitely need to try this!

My favorite dishes are the Dominican style Yoyo and the tequeños. The Dominican style Yoyo is a sandwich. However, instead of having two slices of bread, it is with sweet plantain. It also contains fried cheese, salami, lettuce, tomato and pink sauce. In addition, the tequeños are fried breaded cheese stick, that in combination with their pink sauce taste like heaven. I also love their natural juices, specifically cereza (cherry), piña (pineapple) and chinola (passion fruit).

Moreover, if you want to taste authentic venezuelan food this is the right place for you. Therefore, check this place out and enjoy some amazing food with a friendly/fun ambiance. They have many options you can pick from.

  • Delicious Mexican Cuisine In The Heart Of NYC

Tortazo is a restaurant located in the heart of NYC, is great to have a nice brunch, lunch or dinner with good friends, your partner or by yourself. They have amazing food, good service, and the vibes, aesthetic and cozy atmosphere from this place are to die for. Oh, and they are also affordable!

Moreover, my friends and I couldn’t resist and order a variety of things. We first ordered an appetizer, the Potato-Poblano flautas that were very tasty and crunchy. Then we had our main meal where we ordered two tortas, the Crispy Chicken Milanesa and the Chipotle-Roasted Chicken. These sandwiches were absolutely delicious and had an authentic Mexican flavor. The quesadillas were also amazing, the Chicken Bacon quesadilla and the combination with the salsa is heavenly.

Furthermore, we wanted some mojitos, but they didn’t have any. The server recommended the Hemingway Daiquiri because it was “similar”. But it wasn’t it was really strong and bitter, and we didn’t get to really enjoy them like we wanted too. However, their churros were the start of the night, we ordered the almost naked chocolate and the fully dressed caramel churros. The churros were had the right amount of sweetness.

My point is, go and check this place out, you won’t regret it. The food is fire and do yourself a favor and try the churros.

  • The Most Outstanding Chicken Spot To Stop In Williamsburg

Hey guys we’re back with another New York eat. Sweet Chick is a nice little chicken spot with five locations in the state. During the warmer weather they do have outdoor seating, granted, it’s more of a remnant from the social distancing past. However, enjoying the outdoors with dividers provides a sense of personal space, allowing you to avoid feeling crowded by others outside your group. Best part is the waiters do come outside as well so you’re not completely sacrificing the restaurant experience. However, the only issue (this goes with any outdoor seating) was bugs, more specifically bees. Granted this only happened during one of my experiences in the warmer seasons a bee kept flying around the table. I think it may have sought a “boost” from fròse we ordered.

Now from my experiences, I had the chicken and waffles. The chicken wasn’t overly crispy where it would scrape your mouth. The waffles were incredibly fluffy inside. The food is made how the southern high priestess intended. You also have to try their mac n’ cheese; It’s ooey gooey goodness topped with breadcrumbs for a little crunch. And if you like to have a drink in the morning don’t worry. Sweet Chick has a little something something for the 21 and up crowd too. I got a little taste of their fròse. Personally for me it was passable, but that’s coming from someone who likes weak drinks that taste like straight juice. If you’re ever in these parts of New York make sure you stop by a Sweet Chick to get your chicken fix. Another thing to remember, if you can’t go personally they also do delivery.

You can discover Sweet Chick locations throughout various areas:

    • Union Square
    • Williamsburg
    • Lower East Side
    • Prospect Heights
    • Long Island City

  • Bill’s Bar and Burger: The Best Burgers In NYC

A burger will always hit the spot, no matter where you go, but step into Bill’s, and it will undoubtedly etch a lasting memory in your heart. Despite my usual aversion to dairy milk, the milkshakes here are prompting a reevaluation of my life choices. The sliders, a delightful revelation, allowed for personalization with generous additions of ketchup and mustard, letting you tailor each bite to perfection. And, of course, being an onion ring enthusiast, I couldn’t resist trying Bill’s rendition.

No regrets on that front; the Caesar salad served as a splendid palate cleanser, rejuvenating the taste buds after indulging in a variety of oily delights. Transitioning to the main course, the South of the Burger proved to be a messy yet delightful affair. For enthusiasts of guacamole and jalapeños, this burger is a must-try. The well-balanced addition of pepper jack cheese elevated the overall flavor profile, adding an extra kick to each bite. It’s crucial to highlight that the burgers at Bill’s are smash burgers, eliminating the need for the customary inquiry about preferred cooking styles. Remarkably juicy, each burger at Bill’s boasts a succulence that defines the essence of a perfect smash burger.

In the realm of culinary experiences, Bill’s transcends the ordinary, turning a simple meal into a memorable journey. From customizable sliders to onion rings that cater to enthusiasts like myself, and the messy yet irresistible South of the Burger, every dish reflects the commitment to flavor and quality. So, whether you’re a burger aficionado or just seeking a culinary adventure, Bill’s is the place where every bite tells a story, leaving you with a savory memory that lingers long after the meal is over.

  • Angelina Bakery: The Best For Focaccia and Italian pastries

Ooo~ girl. You’re in for a real treat with this one! This bakery is known for its Italian pastries and boi does it have it all, from your sweets ranging from their bombolonis (those round clouds of heaven there). As well as a wide range of croissants, and even heavenly parfaits. We and my bestie went here for the sweets, but we knew we needed to take some Focaccias home and Sammy for work the next day. We got the pesto, spinach egg and cheese, and potato and cheese focaccia. As well as a ham and Swiss sandwich, something you can’t miss due to its bright color.

    My top Italian pastries

This place is a go-to spot for amazing savory, sweets, and delicious espressos. I’ve been coming here since its launch in 2019, and honestly, I had to stop myself from coming back every day. The bombolonis are like little bites of heaven, airy and indulgent. The croissants? Flaky, buttery perfection. And those parfaits? Now, let’s talk Focaccias – the pesto is a burst of herbaceous joy, the spinach egg and cheese a savory delight, and the potato and cheese? A comforting hug for your taste buds. And that ham and Swiss sandwich? Not only a visual stunner with its bright colors but a taste explosion with the perfect combination of thinly sliced ham, Swiss cheese, and fresh veggies. This bakery, a culinary haven since 2019, keeps me coming back for more, each visit an irresistible journey through a world of delectable Italian pastries.

What kind of vibe am I getting myself into?

The allure of this bakery extends beyond its menu; the ambiance is a delightful blend of cozy charm and contemporary chic. The aroma of freshly baked treats envelops you as soon as you step through the door, creating an atmosphere that feels like a warm embrace. The friendly staff, always sporting welcoming smiles, adds a personal touch to the overall experience. It’s not just a bakery; it’s a haven where the sensory pleasures of taste and smell converge with the inviting embrace of a comforting atmosphere. This establishment has become a cherished ritual for me, a place where every bite is a celebration of flavors, and every visit is a rendezvous with culinary bliss.

  • Naill’s on 52nd: The Best Pasta and Onion Rings

If you know me, you know ya girl looooovves her onion rings. I rate restaurants based on their onion rings because if they ain’t got them chunky big like this then I don’t want it! These were so amazing, I’m honestly thinking of going again to this bar just for them. No drink, just straight-up rings. The sriracha mayo on the side, my compliments to the chef cause honestly so bomb. My other bestie (I got a lot of food besties) ordered the 4 cheese penne with grilled chicken. And you’re thinking, girl… Pasta? At a bar? I swear to you, I ain’t pulling your leg, honestly so creamy and cheese I dream of this sauce.

As I reveled in the delightful symphony of flavors at this unexpected culinary haven, my taste buds embarked on a journey of sheer bliss. The onion rings, a testament to culinary perfection, boasted a crispy exterior that gave way to a tender and flavorful core. The generous size of each ring ensured a satisfying crunch with every bite, and the meticulous balance of spices spoke volumes about the chef’s expertise. The sriracha mayo, a tangy and spicy companion, added an extra layer of excitement to the culinary affair, elevating the entire experience to unparalleled heights.

    Besties choice?

My compatriot’s choice of the 4-cheese penne with grilled chicken proved to be a revelation in unconventional bar fare. The al dente pasta, enrobed in a luxuriously creamy and decadent cheese sauce, was a harmonious marriage of textures and flavors. The succulent grilled chicken added a savory note, creating a symphony of tastes that resonated on my palate. This unexpected gem of a dish showcased the establishment’s culinary prowess, leaving an indelible mark on my gastronomic repertoire. In contemplating a return visit, I find myself torn between the irresistible allure of those heavenly onion rings and the siren call of that luscious 4-cheese penne—a dilemma that only underscores the culinary excellence discovered at this unassuming bar.

  • Asian Fusion Elevating Cuisine to New Heights: Sky Wise Lounge

Are you going out to eat for the aesthetics? Look no further than Sky Wise lounge. This Asian fusion restaurant is absolutely gorgeous. For those of you who just have to take pictures of everything this is for you. The furnishing is trimmed in black and gold. This includes the plush chairs. As soon as you walk in, you’ll notice a tree right in the center of the mix. To offset all the black, the densely packed petals are a bright pink. Finally, which I didn’t initially notice or get to experience, was a stage where they hold shows. Now Sky Wise is on the pricier end but hey, looking good has no limits.

Starting with appetizers, I ordered rock shrimp which consists of lightly fried shrimp with spicy mayo sauce. It was light and crisp. If I’m remembering correctly my group shared a set of galaxy rolls. “Crabstick with cream cheese, avocado, topped with eel; duck liver, black tobiko, and gold leaf“. If this is what I had, I have to say I’m pleasantly surprised by how much I liked it. Depending on what you get the drink presentation may leave you stunned. A member at our table ordered the Banshee. They serve the drink in a bird-shaped glass with a lollipop in it. Another (that we didn’t get) is the Sakura which true to its name has a little Sakura tree placed on top.

If you want to get a taste of Asian fusion go down to Emmons Ave in Brooklyn.

  • One of the Best Japanese Barbecue in Manhattan

Want a spot to eat with your friends without worrying about splitting the bill? Gyu-Kaku in Manhattan is the perfect place. This Japanese barbecue restaurant will have you stuffed and the drinks are nothing to shy away from. With a team of five I thought that the meal set we chose wouldn’t be enough for all of us, little did I know we would be fighting to finish everything we got. The meat just kept coming. In addition to the sides of rice, calamari and a hefty salad we were stuffed. You would be shocked to know the amount of bang you could get for your buck.

They’ve set up everything for a successful grilling experience. There’s a little slip to tell you how to cook each cut of meat. The type of meat you’re cooking determines where you should place the meat on the grill. The immaculate vibes aside, we did experience some burnt meat due to inattentiveness. Nonetheless, the staff replaced the grill plates, making sure none of the burnt residue affected the flavor of the next cut of meat. At the end of everything is a small dessert of s’mores. You can get them for free when you gain points through the restaurants app. If you have a large group a cheat code is have one person sign up and then have each person sign up through the first person’s referral to rack up points while you’re there.

You can find multiple Gyu-Kaku Japanese barbecue in:
